RSM US LLP seeks an experienced Private Equity Fund Tax Partner to lead the PE Fund Tax practice within our Financial Services Tax group in Los Angeles. You will serve as a strategic tax advisor to leading PE firms and their funds, guiding complex engagements and expanding client relationships.

The role emphasizes deep PE tax expertise, business acumen, and leadership to grow capabilities across the firm while mentoring teams and delivering integrated tax solutions for sophisticated clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Active CPA license or equivalent credential.
• 12+ years of tax experience in public accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to meet client service, quality, and deadlines.
• Effective communication with clients and team.
• Strong project management skills and ability to travel.
• Willingness to work onsite in California.

Responsibilities

• Lead client service and advisory engagements for private equity funds, including fund structures and investments.
• Develop and expand relationships with private equity sponsors and grow a substantial book of business.
• Shape and execute the PE Fund Tax growth strategy, mentor teams, and collaborate across the FS Tax practice.
• Oversee high-quality tax compliance and advisory services for complex fund structures and transactions.
