Job summary

Plaid seeks a Privacy & Regulatory Counsel to partner with cross-functional teams in analyzing complex legal and regulatory issues, providing practical guidance, and supporting business initiatives in compliance with applicable laws. Qualifications

• J.D. or equivalent law degree is required.
• Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze new or changing laws, regulations, supervisory guidance, enforcement activity, and industry developments and translate them into concise guidance.
• Answer questions about regulatory compliance for Product, Governance, People, and other cross functional teams.
• Maintain Plaid's regulatory policies, positions, and analyses.
• Support Policy team on proactive engagement with policymakers, regulators, and government officials.
• Partner with Compliance, Security, and operational owners to assess risks and implement updates.
• Create training and enablement materials to help cross functional teams understand regulatory requirements.
