Avenue Z, Inc. seeks an experienced Associate Director to lead communications strategy and engagement for technology, corporate, and consumer clients. This leadership role will spearhead planning, reporting, and outreach initiatives while contributing to new business and firm growth.

You will oversee high-profile accounts, drive thought leadership campaigns, craft pitches and press materials, and mentor junior staff, all while maintaining rigorous standards and collaborative team dynamics.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in PR/marketing or fintech/tech/VC firms.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a passion for excellence.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to handle stress.
• Able to work autonomously and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee high-profile client accounts, setting strategic priorities.
• Drive thought leadership campaigns, showcasing expertise and innovation in the PR industry.
• Write, edit, and proofread materials to maintain high quality and consistency in communication deliverables.
• Craft compelling pitches, press releases, and contributed articles to elevate client visibility.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion.
• Provide strategic guidance to the team in executing day-to-day communication programs.
• Contribute to the development of strategic recommendations that address client challenges and capitalize on opportunities for both current clients and prospects.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff, fostering their professional development.
