Job summary

Nextera Search Group, an investment management firm based in New York, is seeking a Portfolio Analytics & Reporting Associate to join the team. The role focuses on analyzing portfolio results, generating client and investor reports, and coordinating data across multiple internal sources.

Ideal candidates will have 4–7 years in investment reporting or portfolio analytics, strong Excel skills, and a background in finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in investment reporting, financial analysis, portfolio analytics, or a related function.
• Experience within investment management, financial services, or another data-intensive financial environment.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, investment concepts, and capital markets.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Python, SQL, or other data-analysis experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze investment and portfolio results to support internal and external reporting needs
• Prepare recurring and customized reports for clients, investors, and senior stakeholders
• Gather, review, and organize financial and investment data from multiple internal sources
• Work across accounting, operations, client service, and investment teams to address reporting requests and ensure timely delivery
• Maintain internal databases and reporting tools, ensuring information remains complete, consistent, and accurate
• Evaluate portfolio characteristics, trends, and risk factors across investment strategies
• Assist with information requests related to prospective and existing business relationships
• Support the implementation of new reporting requirements, products, and firmwide initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and internal processes
