Job summary

Adams County District Attorney’s Office in Colorado is seeking a Director of Policy and Public Affairs to provide strategic leadership in government and legislative affairs, policy development, public outreach and public affairs for the 17th Judicial District.

You will coordinate legislative briefings, track bills, draft policy materials, and lead partnerships with community organizations, school districts and non-profits to advance the DA's priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, public policy, public administration, political science, public health, or related field.
  • Three to five years minimum experience in policy, law, legislative affairs or government relations.
  • Proven success in government and legislative affairs, policy advocacy, and community outreach.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and support DA on legislative and government affairs priorities.
  • Lead Legislative and Government Affairs operations for the DA’s Office.
  • Track bills and advise on pending legislation.
  • Draft legislative proposals, policy letters and advocacy materials.
  • Coordinate briefs, advocacy days, and stakeholder events.
