Job summary

Steampunk is seeking a Project Manager to lead delivery for strategy, communications, and workforce-focused workstreams within a large federal advisory program in the DC area. You will act as a client liaison, coach, and delivery lead, applying Agile practices and keeping workstreams on schedule while maintaining Section 508 conformance and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

This role requires 5+ years of PM experience, a PMP or equivalent, and the ability to obtain security clearance;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of project management experience including Agile (Scrum/Kanban).
• U.S. government security clearance is required.
• Local to the DC Metro area.

Responsibilities

• Track deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and risks for assigned workstreams against program SLA standards.
• Apply financial management, acquisition support, and performance measurement practices.
• Collaborate with strategy, design, and communications SMEs to keep delivery on track and Section 508 compliant.
• Report workstream status into the integrated schedule and leadership reviews.
• Maintain relationships with client stakeholders on the assigned workstreams.
• Manage workstream team members and facilitate discussions to troubleshoot delivery issues.
• Assess the current delivery environment and tailor Agile practices to the workstream.
• Participate in and support Agile ceremonies, removing blockers to keep delivery on track.
• Evaluate feasibility and accelerate delivery where possible.
• Provide guidance to client stakeholders in challenging situations.
• Support staff training and development to build skills within the team.
