Job summary

Honeywell seeks a visionary Principal Platform Architect to define and driveForge Platform architecture strategy. You will establish technical direction, guide investments, and create reusable capabilities to improve product delivery, developer experience, and operational excellence.

You will influence architecture and engineering decisions across teams through collaboration, communication, and leadership. This is a senior, strategic role shaping enterprise-scale platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years in software/ platform engineering or architecture roles.
• 5+ years delivering enterprise-scale platforms.
• 7+ years of distributed systems, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures.
• 3+ years with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Define the Platform Vision and long-term technology roadmap.
• Develop reference architectures, standards, and reusable design patterns.
• Lead architecture reviews and governance with pragmatic guardrails.
• Guide teams on scalability, security, performance, and debt management.
• Drive cloud-native, API-first, event-driven, and microservices-based approaches.
• Advance cloud and platform engineering across Azure, AWS, GCP, or hybrid environments.
