Job summary

Lactalis Heritage Dairy in Tulare, CA seeks a Plant Controller to join the Senior Leadership Team. The role oversees all financial and accounting functions in alignment with corporate policies, GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Key duties include budgeting, forecasting, cost control, capital analysis, and liaison with corporate finance. You will build the plant finance staff and drive improvements in reporting, controls, and asset management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Accounting required.
• MBA or Master’s degree and professional certification (CPA, CMA) preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of manufacturing operations, product costing and systems.
• Minimally 7+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting Management.
• 5+ years of supervisory/developing direct reports strongly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, leadership and communication skills.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the plant manager and other department managers to coordinate plans for technical indicators and financial commitments.
• Provide insight on achieving KPIs with focus on cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Manage and develop direct reports.
• Provide oversight and control over plant capital projects.
• Report monthly financial results, risks and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Oversee month-end close process and cost forecasting/analysis.
• Lead annual operating budget construction and consolidation with plant leadership and corporate finance.
• Coordinate internal/external audits and improve processes.
• Support corporate initiatives with respect to capital projects and asset management.
