Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Senior Strategy and Planning professional to guide corporate development, strategy and sustainability initiatives in a hybrid Cedar Rapids environment. The role focuses on maintaining roadmaps, prioritizing strategic projects, and delivering metrics that drive business priorities.

You will work with PMO partners to define processes, coordinate across teams, and prepare leadership-ready presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
• Five years of strategic planning experience in a similar environment or in a planning/consultant role.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization to influence others towards strategic goals.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills to plan strategy, tactics and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Familiarity with project management tools, lifecycles, etc.
• Proficiency using MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update strategic planning templates and communications.
• Update strategic roadmap & assigned strategic dashboards/tracking mechanisms.
• Define strategic planning processes, priorities, capabilities, measures of success, etc. Includes cadence and timing of various inputs/outputs; coordinate development of this process with the PMO and other functional leads.
• Coordinate with peers across the organization (including the PMO as a key stakeholder) to develop and execute a holistic strategic planning process.
• Identify integrations and establish contacts across the organization to align efforts and plan implementation.
• Assist with escalated issues on priorities, goals, strategies, resources and key initiatives.
• Prepare presentations for delivery to specific audiences.
