Job summary

Blistex Inc. in Oak Brook, IL is seeking a Senior Planner/Buyer for Contract Manufacturing to manage end-to-end planning and procurement for contract-manufactured products.

You will balance inventory, production schedules, and supplier performance, collaborating with contract manufacturers and cross-functional teams to support launches and continuous improvement while controlling costs and risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years in supply chain planning, procurement, or contract manufacturing.
• Experience managing third-party manufacturing and supplier relationships.
• Strong understanding of MRP, demand planning, and inventory management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and standard business applications.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supply Chain Planning & Inventory Management: analyze inventory, manage POs, update production schedules.
• Forecasting, supplier performance monitoring, and cost-saving opportunities with contract manufacturers.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: support launches, material validations, and process improvements.
• Systems & Compliance: maintain BOMs, ensure routing approvals, and review invoices.
