Responsible for recruitment, staff development, and coordinating admissions, discharges, and transfers while maintaining high quality, compassionate care in a complex hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BN S? (BSN) required and Ohio RN License.
• CPR certification required.
• Two (2) years inpatient acute care experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and health care delivery system.
• Strong interpersonal skills with physicians, nursing staff, administration, and other departments.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
• Knowledge of patient evaluation and triage procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to coach employees and promote nursing excellence.
• Strong strategic and critical thinking with teamwork and process change.
• Self-motivation and ability to complete tasks with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Analyze department operations, budgets, and staffing; develop action plans from trends.
• Prepare reports and correspondence within deadlines.
• Maintain organized personnel records and information systems.
• Recruit, select, and retain staff; minimize turnover.
• Delegate with clear expectations and follow-up.
• Develop staff and motivate them to meet commitments.
• Provide support to nursing operations as needed.
• Coordinate admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
• Contribute to evidence-based patient standards and outcomes analysis.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate performance improvement systems.
