Job summary

Bishop & Company, Inc. in Maui seeks a Director of People & Talent to shape leadership, culture, and organizational effectiveness.

This is a strategic, non-traditional HR leadership role partnering with executives. You will lead talent acquisition, leadership development, workforce planning, performance management, and employee engagement, building programs to attract, develop, and retain top talent on Maui.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in leadership development, organizational development, talent management, recruiting, HR, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to develop and execute people and talent strategies that support business objectives.
• Develop leaders through coaching, mentoring, training, and ongoing support.
• Build and enhance talent management, succession planning, and workforce planning initiatives.
• Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, including key leadership and professional-level positions.
• Implement effective onboarding and employee development programs.
• Drive performance management processes, goal setting, and employee growth opportunities.
• Support employee engagement, retention, recognition, and culture-building initiatives.
• Conduct employee feedback, stay interviews, and exit interviews to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Partner with outside HR resources and legal counsel to support compliance and employment best practices.
