Job summary

Optima Medical Management Group is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager to oversee payroll and benefits operations for a 700+ employee healthcare organization. You will ensure accurate, timely processing and compliance, lead ADP payroll systems, and manage 401(k) plan audits and contributions.

The role includes supervising staff, multi-location payroll, time & attendance validation, off-cycle payments, and benefits guidance for employees and managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, HR, Business Administration, or relevant field.
• ~5+ years of payroll and benefits experience, including 401(k) processes.
• Experience managing payroll for 400+ employees.
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll laws and benefit compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor payroll staff as needed.
• Manage full-cycle, semi-monthly payroll for 600+ employees across locations.
• Review time and attendance data for accuracy.
• Process off-cycle payments, corrections, retro adjustments, bonuses, and other pay components.
• Coordinate with HR on benefits, onboarding/offboarding, and compensation updates.
