Western Governors University is seeking an Enterprise Partnerships Director in Salt Lake City to accelerate our mission by cultivating high-impact partnerships that expand reach and create new pathways for learners and employers.

You will bridge academic, corporate, and nonprofit ecosystems, identifying co-development opportunities and negotiating effective structures. Lead cross-functional teams and report ROI to senior leadership while advancing WGU’s strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 7+ years in strategic partnerships or related fields.
• 3+ years leading a team and managing cross-functional projects.
• Proven ability to build partnerships with Fortune 500 firms and startups.
• Experience negotiating complex multi-party agreements.
• Experience bridging education, industry, and government ecosystems.

Responsabilités

• Develop and oversee WGU’s strategic partnership portfolio and advise executive leadership on investments and ecosystem engagement.
• Oversee progress and outcomes across all partnership initiatives from concept to scale.
• Lead cross-functional workstreams including technology validations, research collaborations, and joint marketing.
• Establish partnership metrics and dashboards, report outcomes to senior leadership and the Board.
• Engage external stakeholders and serve as executive representative to CEOs, VPs, Directors, funders, and workforce organizations.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing partnerships team while fostering collaboration and accountability.
