Job summary

JCRC Bay Area is seeking an Assistant Director of External Affairs to advance strategic partnerships across the Bay Area. You will represent the organization in community settings, coordinate collaborative initiatives, and translate relationships into action.

The role emphasizes engaging diverse communities, organizing interfaith and intercommunity roundtables, and driving programs that address antisemitism, civil rights, and democratic participation. Hybrid in-office/remote work is offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years minimum experience in public affairs, community relations, nonprofit advocacy, or a similar field.
• Understanding of Bay Area political and civic landscape.
• Knowledge of Jewish identity, antisemitism issues, and connection to Israel.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with diverse leaders professionally.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings and events representing JCRC Bay Area in a professional capacity.
• Serve as a welcoming point of contact for allies and partners; maintain engagement history.
• Coordinate coalition meetings, timelines, agendas, and materials; track outcomes.
