Howard University invites a Partnership Development Strategist to lead and scale strategic corporate and community collaborations aligned with academic priorities. The role translates university strengths into engagement opportunities and coordinates cross-functional teams to deliver impact.

You will identify partners, craft proposals, and manage stewardship across the lifecycle, including research, workforce development, and sponsorship initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience preparing proposals, briefing materials, and strategy documents.
• Experience in corporate or corporate-facing environments.
• Higher education partnership development or workforce development experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement corporate/community partnership strategies aligned with university priorities.
• Identify and qualify prospective partners across sectors.
• Create engagement concepts aligned with institutional strengths and partner priorities.
• Contribute to partnership growth pathways that support long-term engagement and impact.
• Guide staff supporting corporate and community engagement initiatives.
• Coordinate partnership-related projects across the Office of Corporate Relations.
• Monitor progress to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Identify opportunities to translate university strengths into external partnerships.
• Collaborate with academic units to map partnership opportunities and avoid duplication.
