Strategic Partnership Manager - Global Payment

Team Introduction: The Global Payment team of TikTok provides comprehensive payment solutions including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and more to ensure a smooth and secure payment experience for users on TikTok platforms.

Responsibilities: This role involves developing and managing strategic partnerships to deliver best-in-class payment solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the payments industry, excellent relationship management skills, and a proven track record of driving results through strategic collaborations.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, ensuring ongoing alignment and collaboration.
  • Identify and evaluate potential strategic partners to enhance global payment capabilities.
  • Develop and implement partnership strategies aligned with the company's objectives and growth plans.
  • Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Engage SBV and key authorities with cross-team members when necessary.
  • Monitor and analyze payment performance metrics to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Product, Solutions, Compliance) to integrate partner solutions and improve payment processes.
  • Identify opportunities for system and process improvements through strategic partnerships.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and the competitive landscape in global payments.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on market analysis and partner feedback.
  • Establish clear objectives and key results (OKRs) for strategic partnerships and track progress, adjusting strategies as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or higher degree is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in business English.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven experience managing multiple partnerships and projects.
  • Strategic thinking with a results-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in partnership management, business development, or strategic roles within the payments industry.
  • Experience working with non-bank IPS companies is preferred.
  • Knowledge of global payment systems, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional domestic and international travel.
