Position Summary

The Strategic Partnerships Executive (SPE) is responsible for expanding Acro’s business with the State of Massachusetts (SoMA), a long-standing Acro customer, while developing new business with government entities and companies throughout the New England region.

This is a highly client-facing role focused on building strong relationships with current and newly identified stakeholders through regular in-person meetings, strategic account management, and high-touch customer service. The SPE will also identify and pursue opportunities to sell Acro’s services to additional government entities, private-sector organizations, and other assigned accounts.

Acro’s services include IT staffing, IT consulting/project services, professional staffing across multiple disciplines, Managed Service Provider (MSP) services, and Vendor Management System (VMS) services. The SPE will serve as a subject matter expert for assigned accounts and work closely with Acro’s recruiting organization to maximize placements, contractor retention, client satisfaction, and account growth.

This position is based in Boston, Massachusetts and requires regular travel and in-person meetings with clients and prospects throughout New England.

State of Massachusetts Account Management & Growth
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing SoMA stakeholders and hiring managers through regular substantive interactions and in-person meetings.
  • Maintain and grow contractor headcount within existing SoMA departments and identify opportunities to expand Acro’s services to new departments and hiring managers.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of client workforce needs, upcoming requirements, service expectations, contractor performance, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Proactively introduce Acro’s capabilities to new SoMA stakeholders and pursue opportunities for IT staffing, IT project services, and other Acro solutions.
  • Maintain visibility into open requisitions, candidate submissions, interviews, onboarding activity, starts, and contractor performance.
  • Deliver prompt, attentive, and collaborative customer service throughout the client and contractor lifecycle.
Business Development & Account Expansion
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with government entities and companies throughout Massachusetts and the broader New England region.
  • Sell Acro’s staffing and workforce solutions, including IT, professional, engineering, finance/accounting and other staffing services, IT consulting/project solutions, MSP, and VMS services.
  • Build relationships with prospective clients, understand their workforce and business needs, present Acro’s capabilities, and secure opportunities to provide services.
  • Develop account growth strategies to expand Acro’s presence, contractor headcount, labor categories, and service offerings within assigned accounts.
  • Network with client and MSP representatives to generate referrals and identify additional business opportunities.
  • Assist in introducing and selling services offered by other Acro divisions when appropriate.
  • Partner closely with Acro’s recruiting teams to ensure a thorough understanding of client requirements and maximize fulfillment of open positions.
  • Communicate client feedback, changes to job requirements, interview availability, and requisition status to recruiting teams.
  • Review candidate alignment and provide guidance to recruiting teams to continuously improve the quality of candidate submissions.
  • Support interview coordination, onboarding, and post-start follow-up to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot customer service and performance issues and follow through to resolution.
  • Build relationships with assigned contractors to support retention and identify upcoming client workforce needs.
  • Monitor client performance metrics and work with leadership and recruiting teams to ensure Acro remains a top-performing supplier.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all open positions, candidate activity, placement opportunities, and account performance.
  • Recommend strategies to improve placement rates, contractor retention, client satisfaction, and overall account growth.
  • Document sales and account-development activities in Acro’s CRM.
  • Prepare and present fulfillment activity, account metrics, and other reports to leadership as required.
  • Participate in annual business and goal planning and other special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in the staffing industry.
  • At least 3 years in a client-facing role as a recruiter, client service representative, client relationship manager, account manager, or similar position within the staffing industry.
  • Experience selling and placing professional roles such as Information Technology (IT), Engineering, Finance & Accounting, Administrative, and Manufacturing.
  • Experience growing contractor headcount within newly acquired customers through active business development efforts is required.
  • Must currently be located in Boston, Massachusetts.
  • 2–3 years of experience selling staffing services within state and local government entities is desirable.
Skills
  • Proven ability to develop strong client relationships and build account plans focused on growth and new agency relationships.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of a client or vendor organization.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout the hiring and employment process.

  • The position is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with regular travel throughout the New England Geography for client, prospect, and internal meetings. The position requires the ability and willingness to drive between locations as needed.
