Google Payments is seeking a Global Partnerships Lead to shape and accelerate partnerships with banks, fintechs, merchants, and ecommerce platforms. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Marketing to bring new payment solutions to market and scale globally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 5 years with advanced degree.
  • Experience in Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functional management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

  • Negotiate and execute agreements involving data rights and regulatory obligations.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic partnership opportunities that align with business objectives.

This is a key role in which you will lead and drive our business development and product go-to-market efforts for Google Payments with partners especially, banks/issuers, Fintechs, merchants and e-commerce platforms.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $140000 - $203000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Establish payments strategy for financial institutions/issuers and fintechs/many platforms/merchants and e-commerce platforms by collaborating with cross-functional leaders and integrating Google capabilities to ensure execution across AI and non-AI user journeys.
  • Negotiate and execute agreements involving data rights, regulatory obligations, and technical requirements, while managing business and technical trade-offs with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage a portfolio of partners and drive growth initiatives to meet product goals, including scaling payment solutions to the torso and tail issuers in the ecosystem, using an understanding of partner needs to provide market and partner feedback that informs product decisions.
  • Develop business models by working with cross-functional teams, with a focus on future business generation initiatives.
  • Drive presentations and recommendations to leadership regarding business performance indicators and emerging technology, market, and partner trends.
