Job summary

The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis seeks an experienced leader to serve as the Program Director for the Master of Health Services – Physician Assistant Studies. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Academics, the Program Director will provide strategic direction to the PA program and ensure ARC‑PA accreditation while advancing education and service to diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Meet ARC-PA requirements for PA directors nationally.
• Professional competence in primary care, PA education, and leadership preferred.
• Experience with ARC-PA accreditation process.
• Demonstrated proficiency in teaching and academic instruction.
• Experience leading curriculum improvements and continuous quality improvement.
• Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Experience establishing clinical partnerships and developing partnerships.
• Ability to adhere to university policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to grow and sustain the PA program’s impact.
• Lead accreditation processes and develop internal systems for compliance and excellence.
• Advance clinical and didactic education to develop exemplary healthcare professionals.
• Recruit, support, and inspire the Program faculty.
• Diversify funding mechanisms and expand resources.
• Steward collaboration and community engagement internally and externally.
