Job summary

University of California - Davis Health in Sacramento seeks innovative and highly motivated physician assistant faculty to join the program in the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing. Positions include didactic and clinical teaching, curriculum development, and student evaluation.

Both part-time and full-time, non-tenured roles exist at Assistant and Associate ranks in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series, located on the Sacramento campus with UC Davis Health facilities and clinics.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Doctoral degree in a discipline appropriate to the assigned teaching responsibilities.
• PA program graduate with ARCPA accreditation and NCCPA certification.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience as a licensed PA.
• Must be comfortable in a highly interactive fast-paced teaching/learning environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: prior PA teaching experience and five years as a licensed PA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as instructor of record or co-instructor for assigned courses.
• Develop, revise course syllabi, goals, measurable outcomes, and materials.
• Provide high-quality didactic, lab, simulation, and clinical instruction.
• Advise students and participate in admissions, curriculum design, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with program faculty to ensure curriculum quality and assessment.
• Participate in program self-assessment and ARC-PA standards compliance.
• Serve on committees and contribute to program policy development.
