Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking an Outreach Program Associate Director to lead the Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System (WCWPDS).

You will partner with the WCWPDS Director to advance professional learning for Wisconsin’s child welfare workforce, supervise staff, oversee budgets, and foster strategic partnerships across university and community stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of public child welfare experience, including at least 3 years in leadership, administration, management, and staff supervision.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Wisconsin child welfare statutes, standards, best practices, safety assessment and intervention models, and familiarity with Federal Title IV-E requirements.
• Demonstrated success designing and implementing adult learning, workforce development, and staff training strategies.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and contribute to budget development.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; proficient in Microsoft Office and internet-based applications.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with county agency administrators and stakeholders regarding program needs.
• Direct long-range and short-term planning to grow the outreach program.
• Develop organizational and operational policies; monitor performance for alignment with objectives.
• Prepare and present reports to WCWPDS Steering Committee on training activities.
• Represent the WCWPDS Director in communications with stakeholders.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontracted trainers/facilitators.
• Develop and monitor work plans for delivery units; participate in budget oversight.
• Lead staff meetings and oversee staff development; ensure attendance documentation.
