Job Summary

The Strategic Development Manager provides market intelligence, serves as a subject matter expert, and leads the team in identifying, developing, implementing, and closing structured transactions related to the purchase and sale of strategic projects in geothermal power generation, carbon capture sequestration, battery storage, and other clean energy initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for strategic marketing and sales activities, including assisting in identifying, developing, implementing, and closing structured transactions related to power and natural gas products and services.
  • Support negotiation of master trading and transportation agreements with target customers.
  • Implement market penetration strategies focused on power and gas, and develop customer value propositions.
  • Develop relationships with IOUs, municipals, cooperatives, gas producers, pipeline companies, and storage providers.
  • Serve as a market intelligence expert on commodity pricing, outages, supply/demand changes, etc.
  • Contribute to new and existing product development to increase market presence.
  • Support power offtake agreements, fuel supply, and transportation for new and existing projects.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5-10 years of success in energy project development.
  • Leadership, business acumen, and negotiation skills.
