Job summary

The Iowa Economic Development Authority and Iowa Finance Authority seek a Director of Strategic Operations and Governance to lead a newly established Operations Team reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.

This Public Service Manager 1 role drives organizational modernization, business systems strategy, and transformation initiatives while overseeing a small team of two business systems professionals and coordinating across divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of program administration, management, or operations experience; or 8+ years of relevant full-time work experience
• Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience leading strategic organizational change and transformation initiatives
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

Responsibilities

• Lead newly established Operations Team reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.
