Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Operations Scheduling Specialist in Springfield, VA to support our physical security operations. The role emphasizes scheduling coordination, on-site leadership during on-call shifts, and safeguarding sensitive information.

The specialist will work standard hours with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and on-call coverage to support 24/7 operations. The position requires US citizenship with a TS/SCI clearance and polygraph, a high school diploma, and strong MS Office and

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience scheduling personnel or coordinating staffing to meet operational requirements.
• Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web-based applications.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods (up to 8 hours).

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and enforce compliance with policies, procedures, and work standards.
• Develop and maintain scheduling processes to ensure contract coverage.
• Coordinate with training and operations management to identify performance trends.
• Provide on-site operational leadership during on-call shifts.
• Maintain systems for tracking and securing radio equipment.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Foster a positive team environment and mentor teammates.
• Prepare accurate operational reports.
• Enforce security policies and uniform standards.
