Job summary

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Palmdale, California is seeking a full-time Early Career Modeling and Simulation Engineer. You will work on the Military Operations Analysis team to conduct analyses of military utility, survivability, and system requirements using AFSIM (C-based) in a government framework.

The successful candidate will have experience with C++, MATLAB, Python, GitLab, and Linux environments, and must be a US citizen capable of obtaining a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or a related technical discipline
• Intermediate Scripting Proficiency (MATLAB, Python, or similar)

In this role, you will work on the Military Operations Analysis team to conduct analyses of military utility, survivability, and system requirements. You will learn the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM, C-based) government toolset to conduct analysis for contractual efforts and internal decision makers. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of C++, MATLAB, Python, GitLab, and Linux environments. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or a related technical discipline
• Intermediate Scripting Proficiency (MATLAB, Python, or similar)

Desired Skills

• Experience with DOD/DOW or support organizations
• Data Analytics Proficiency with large datasets
• Experience with DevSecOps methodologies and technologies for implementation (Git, Gitlab and/or Gitlab CI)
• Experience applying discrete or Monte Carlo simulations
• Familiar with cloud computing environments

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $65500.00 - $121700.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
