Job summary

Skill is seeking a seasoned risk management professional to provide 2nd line oversight for business processes within a leading financial services organization. You will shape the risk landscape, develop monitoring plans, and drive independent challenge across investment oversight and compliance functions.

You will collaborate with Legal, Finance, and other departments to ensure regulatory adherence, implement robust corrective actions, and promote a culture of accountability and excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
• 6+ years in financial industry with investment oversight/monitoring experience.
• Working knowledge of risk management concepts and their applicability to investment processes.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations to business operations.
• Proficiency with data analysis and automation platforms.
• Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements in Risk/Compliance programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line risk management oversight for business processes.
• Collaborate with Legal and internal partners to ensure regulatory and policy adherence.
• Identify vulnerabilities and opportunities to enhance compliance.
• Develop monitoring plans, identify risks, and draft policies and documentation.
• Execute the Risk Management program including compliance testing initiatives.
• Engage stakeholders to implement improvements in risk and compliance programs.
• Undertake strategic projects aligned with organizational objectives.
