Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Project Engineer to lead new product development programs, including NPIs and packaging technology developments. You will guide cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure deadlines, while communicating insights to executives.

A strong data mindset and experience across manufacturing, engineering, finance, R&D, and operations are essential. The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 5+ years in semiconductors, significant project management experience, and comfort

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, electrical or electronics preferred.
• 5+ years of semiconductor experience with NPI, cost savings, transfers, manufacturing flow, specs, applications, cost and quality.
• 5+ years in roles with strong project management; PMP certification is a plus.
• 3+ years of packaging development or package manufacturing engineering.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to manage program budgets.

Responsibilities

• Define development program requirements with stakeholders.
• Manage several key development programs in parallel across different program types.
• Lead development efforts for the new product package technology roadmap.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure on-schedule and on-budget project completion.
• Create project plans with measurable objectives, schedules, risk minimization, and budget alignment.
• Resolve problems by consulting technical experts and aligning resources to remove roadblocks.
• Track and report each program’s performance against the plan to stakeholders and senior management.
