Job summary

Atrium is seeking a Controller to oversee financial operations and accounting functions within the organization. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and effectively manage resources while supervising two accounting staff.

This role entails preparing accurate financial reports, managing grants and compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to leadership. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 5–8 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger and payroll.
• Prepare timely monthly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit standards.
