Job summary

Everly Talent in New York seeks an experienced Chief Financial Officer to oversee complex financial operations for a nonprofit serving individuals with IDD. The CFO will guide organizational strategy, manage multimillion-dollar budgets, and ensure financial stability.

The role requires deep nonprofit financial leadership, expertise in Medicaid reimbursement systems, CFR reporting, and strong collaboration with program leadership and the board.

Qualifications

• Requires direct nonprofit experience in an OPWDD-regulated setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field; MBA and CPA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership, incl. 5+ years in senior roles (CFO/Finance Director).
• Experience managing Medicaid reimbursement systems and government funding streams.

Responsibilities

• Advise CEO and leadership on financial sustainability, growth, and risk management.
• Develop long-term financial strategies for program expansion and capital planning.
• Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic insight to executives and the Board.
• Present financial performance, forecasts, and risk analysis to the Board and Finance Committee.
• Oversee accounting, budgeting, payroll, billing, AR/AP, and treasury operations.
