Job summary

Christian Theological Seminary is seeking a Director of Accounting to lead professional-level accounting functions including auditing, analyzing, reconciling, and preparing financial reports.

The role oversees daily operations of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and related accounting activities, with responsibility for monthly and annual reporting and for year-end close coordination with external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in accounting principles or related work.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting software and financial analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Plans, manages, and oversees daily functions of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and general accounting functions.
• Responsible for monthly accounting and annual reporting.
• Prepares closing entries and schedules; supports month-end and year-end close.
• Works closely with auditors during year-end audit.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
