Performance Foodservice in the United States seeks a Purchaser to coordinate suppliers, negotiate terms, and establish long-term contracts to ensure steady supply of high-quality products for foodservice distribution at competitive prices.

The role maintains service levels for in-stock product, assists with special orders, and collaborates as a team member within the department and organization to support the company’s goals.

Competenze

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 1 - 2 years purchasing or related area.

Mansioni

• Select vendors based on continuous supply, service level, product quality, and market understanding.
• Maintain vendor relationships by resolving invoicing, product, or delivery issues to ensure quality service.
• Select product based on market fit, performance, source alternatives, and vendor reputation.
• Negotiate prices and quantities based on customer orders, volume discounts, and warehouse space efficiency.
• Negotiate long-term contracts meeting supply needs and market conditions.
• Service distribution centers for emergency situations with rapid product delivery.
• Provide product and pricing information to sales and advise on pricing structure by volume and margin.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
