Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Technical Lead for Network Strategy to drive the design, deployment, and sustainment of LAN/WAN, data-center, and cloud networking fabrics. You will lead multi-vendor teams, oversee capacity budgets, and shape a forward-looking technology roadmap aligned with business goals.

The role emphasizes high availability, security, and scalable infrastructure to support silicon fabrication and research workloads, with strong emphasis on leadership and stakeholder

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering; MS preferred.
• Certification or advanced expertise in Cisco, Palo Alto, Arista, F5 / A10, and other networking technologies.
• 15+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise data-center networking.

Responsibilities

• Define and steer the architectural strategy for semiconductor LAN, WAN, data-center, and cloud networks.
• Lead multi-vendor operations teams with executive guidance on design and deployment.
• Own multi-year and annual capacity budgeting for all platforms.
• Champion large-scale infrastructure initiatives—expansion, replacement, upgrade projects.
• Establish network requirements, frameworks, and design standards meeting regulatory expectations.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and craft a long-term technology roadmap.
