Job summary

Quikrete is seeking a Category Manager, Natural Gas to lead enterprise-wide natural gas sourcing, procurement, and risk management to ensure reliable supply and optimized costs for manufacturing operations. You will partner with Operations, Finance, Legal, and leadership to develop long-term energy strategies, provide market expertise, and guide energy initiatives across the business.

The role also focuses on building a best-in-class Energy Management organization within a global manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Energy Management, Economics, or related field.
• 5–8+ years of natural gas procurement, commodity management, or industrial sourcing experience.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, financial, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Manufacturing or heavy industry experience, FERC knowledge, and MBA/CEM are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute natural gas sourcing, procurement, and risk management strategies.
• Lead RFPs, supplier selection, contract negotiations, transportation and storage agreements.
• Monitor markets, pricing, weather, regulations, and recommend actions to manage cost and supply risk.
• Build relationships with suppliers, utilities, and pipeline operators while monitoring performance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, capital projects, and energy initiatives.
• Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance and provide reporting on spend, savings, and market trends.
