Job summary

Quikrete seeks a Category Manager, Natural Gas to lead enterprise-wide sourcing, procurement, and risk management for the company’s energy needs supporting manufacturing operations.

You will partner with Operations, Finance, Legal, and senior leaders to develop long-term energy strategies, provide market expertise, and optimize total cost of ownership.

This role requires strong negotiation, analytical skills, and experience with heavy industry energy management to ensure reliable supply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Energy Management, Economics, or related field.
• 5-8+ years of natural gas procurement, commodity management, or industrial sourcing experience.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, financial, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Manufacturing or heavy industry experience, FERC knowledge, and MBA/CEM are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute natural gas sourcing, procurement, and risk management strategies.
• Lead RFPs, supplier selection, contract negotiations, transportation and storage agreements.
• Monitor markets, pricing, weather, regulations, and recommend actions to manage cost and supply risk.
• Build relationships with suppliers, utilities, and pipeline operators while monitoring performance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, capital projects, and energy initiatives.
• Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance and provide reporting on spend, savings, and market trends.
