Job summary

The Trade Compliance Specialist III at Nidec Traction operates with a high degree of independence and handles complex trade compliance matters, including classification, regulatory interpretation, and audit support. You will partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, and Legal teams to deliver compliant, cost-efficient trade practices.

Based in the United States, you will contribute to regional NAFTA/FTA eligibility, implement compliance forms and tools, and help reduce duty

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Qualification in Logistics, Trade Compliance, or relevant discipline.
• Must have exceptional communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and advice regarding interpretation of US Import/Export regulations as necessary.
• Conduct import compliance and operational assessments, audits, and reviews including classification, valuation, Other Government Agencies requirements or regulations.
• Develop import/export compliance forms, tools, templates, and performance reports.
• KPIs for management and constantly improving procedures and activities to reduce duties, taxes for all the North America business units.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics, transportation companies, customs brokers, and government dependents.
• Implement best practice trade principles, policies, and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.
