Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Senior Development Manager for the NA Ops Real Estate Team to lead end-to-end development across North America. You will partner with cross-functional teams to identify, secure, and deliver facilities that align with Amazon's long-term capacity strategy.

You will own site control, entitlements, design development, and construction delivery, driving value, resilience, and speed while maintaining operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in real estate, business, finance, engineering, architecture, planning, or similar field.
• 8+ years of CRE development or investment with end-to-end project lifecycle management.
• 5+ years leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive site sourcing and strategic development opportunities years ahead of identified capacity needs.
• Drive end-to-end project lifecycle ownership from site evaluation through entitlements and construction management.
• Develop and execute financial stewardship strategies including feasibility analyses, budget management, and risk mitigation.
• Create and implement processes, tools, and metrics to ensure predictable, cost-effective project delivery.
• Build partnerships with internal teams (Operations, Design, Pre-Construction, WHS, Finance, Legal, Asset Management, Economic Development) and external stakeholders.
• Navigate complex entitlement and permitting processes with government officials to secure approvals.
• Lead data-informed decisions considering portfolio-wide impacts and network optimization.
• Travel up to 30% across North America to oversee development activities and maintain relationships.
