Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Development Manager to join the NA Ops Real Estate Team. You will lead site sourcing, development, and entitlement efforts across North America, guiding cross-functional teams and managing the full project lifecycle from inception to construction handover.

You will develop financial strategies, optimize capital returns, and drive process improvements to support Amazon's evolving fulfillment network.

Qualifications

Experience in project management, real estate development, architecture/design
3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
8+ years of commercial real estate development or investment experience
5+ years leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with internal/external stakeholders
6+ years refining processes in real estate development or project management
Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Engineering, Architecture, Planning, or similar field

Responsibilities

Lead proactive site sourcing and strategic development opportunities years ahead of capacity needs
Drive end-to-end project lifecycle ownership from site evaluation through entitlements and construction
Develop and execute financial stewardship strategies including feasibility analyses and budget management
Create and implement processes and metrics to ensure predictable, efficient project delivery
Build partnerships with internal teams and external developers, officials, and stakeholders
Navigate entitlements and permitting with government bodies for strategic projects
Lead data-informed decisions considering portfolio impacts and network optimization
Travel throughout North America up to 30% of the time
