Job summary

City of San Antonio is seeking a performance analyst to improve business processes and drive efficiencies across divisions and with external partners. Under direction, you will support program evaluation, data gathering, and performance metrics to guide decisions.

You will work closely with the Office of the City Clerk and other city offices to align projects with department goals, prepare progress reports, and assist in strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with municipal government or public administration preferred.
• Strong editing and proofreading skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate efficiency of current and new programs and implement changes.
• Gather, compile, and review data for performance metrics analysis.
• Monitor current and new programs for possible efficiencies and needed improvements to programs and projects based on performance metrics data.
• Identify and prioritizing functional and technical needs and requirements.
• Interpret data to inform strategic decision making.
• Develop strategic plans that align with department goals and objectives.
• Prepare written reports, summaries and presentations on project progress and results or action plans.
• Coordinate between divisions within the department and other departments such as the City Attorney’s Office, City Manager’s Office, Mayor and Council District Offices.
• May assist in identifying and prioritizing functional and technical needs and requirements for all divisions of the Office of the City Clerk.
• Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
