Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field with 10+ years of experience (or 5+ years municipal finance leadership).
• Master’s degree in business or public administration preferred.
• Designation as Certified Public Finance Official (GFOA) preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and cloud-based software experience.
• Experience managing staff (direct and indirect reports).

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration of financial affairs and staff of Finance Department and related offices.
• Lead development of long- and short-term financial policies and plans.
• Oversee accounting systems, financial records, internal controls.
• Coordinate with Board of Finance and Town Council on budgets and reports.
• Manage CIP planning and capital budget funding options.
• Ensure GASB/GAAP compliance and external audits.
• Liaise with external vendors, auditors, and authorities.
