Job summary

Sun Chemical in Indiana is seeking an MRP Controller to plan and coordinate production schedules, material requirements, and inventory control to meet customer demand efficiently, while ensuring data integrity in SAP.

You will collaborate with Production, Logistics, and Customer Service to schedule shipments (including tanker loads), manage MSR/ERP transactions, lead physical inventories, and investigate discrepancies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
• 3+ years inventory planning and control or production scheduling.
• Strong Excel and SAP proficiency.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to solve production delays and logistics issues.
• Independent judgement with limited supervision.
• Flexible and adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production plans and finite schedules for the site.
• Manage MRP and inventory activities, coordinate shipments and align resources to meet customer requirements.
• Liaise with internal customer service regarding orders and shipping statuses.
• Prepare paperwork (Bill of Lading, Packing Sheets) and SAP transactions.
• Coordinate shipments with 3rd party logistics and tanker shipments.
• Lead physical inventory process and investigations into discrepancies.
• Process SAP transactions related to inventory, scheduling, shipments.
• Communicate with plant operations and clerical tasks.
• Support daily operations and maintain system data accuracy.
