Job summary

Serco invites qualified professionals to join our Exercise Planner role at Shaw AFB, SC, supporting planning and execution of CJCS/CCMD exercises in the USCENTCOM area. You will help develop exercise constructs, budgets, and training objectives, coordinating with HQs, partner nations, and multiple commands.

The position involves briefings to leadership, deployments to support CJCS and USAFCENT exercises, and travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years’ experience on a NAF or component command staff or higher level or other service equivalent.
• 7 years of experience.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI.
• 1 year of experience using MS Office or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience planning exercises on a NAF or component command staff or higher level.
• Possess a U.S. Passport and meet visa requirements for travel to USCENTCOM AOR countries.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Organize/conduct meetings, conferences, briefings and site surveys for CJCS/other command exercises annually.
• Coordinate with HHQ, country teams, Host Nation partners, and other commands for CJCS exercises and regional air shows.
• Develop and present exercise-related briefings to command leadership.
• Deploy in support of CJCS, CCMD, USAFCENT, and component exercises as required.
• Coordinate with HHQ, country teams, host nation partners and other commands in CJCS exercises.
• Build and publish formal exercise after action reports with USAFCENT Staff.
• Support USAFCENT Air Warfare Center with exercise planning/execution expertise.
• Deploy in support of exercise project officers for CJCS/CCMD/USAFCENT and others (~7 times annually).
• Attend USCENTCOM/ACC exercise conferences; perform admin tasks for planning, briefs, travel.
• Back-up SME for AOR countries; develop long-range exercise schedules.
• Review operations, plans, AF instructions, and joint publications; brief senior officers.
• Input into/analyze data from the G-TSCMIS.
