Job summary

UNICON International Inc. is seeking a Planner in Reynoldsburg, OH to translate Merchants’ vision into viable plans and profitable results.

You will develop and maintain sales, inventory and margin plans aligned with financial targets, then drive class and sub-brand level planning, eventually refining to style/choice level assortments for store clusters. You will collaborate with Merchants, Demand Forecaster and Inventory Deployment to optimize assortment, forecast demand and balance supply with

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of retail planning, demand forecasting experience, inventory management, allocation, assortment planning, or replenishment experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, operations, economics, business, statistics
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; strong aptitude with numbers; retail math skills
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel or related planning, finance or analytical systems
• Merchant or merchandising experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Pre-Season: build and refine class/sub-brand plans; create seasonal assortment targets by store grouping; develop assortment plans for sales, margin and inventory by style/choice level
• In-Season: analyze performance, revise plans, manage promotions and inventory to targets, coordinate with demand planner and inventory deployment
• Reporting/Analytics: analyze performance against plan and trend, prepare recommendations for meetings to maximize sales and margin
• Integration Points: coordinate with Strategic Planning, Demand Forecasters, Inventory Deployment and cross-functional partners on events, launches and inventory decisions
