Job summary

Outerknown, LLC is seeking a Merchandise Planner in Carlsbad, CA to drive sales and margin by managing assortments, inventory and pricing, using data to forecast demand and optimize online and wholesale availability.

You will partner with Merchandising, Ecommerce, Retail, Wholesale and Finance to align forecasts, inventory strategy and promotions, ensuring timely availability of products and accurate ERP and Shopify data. This role reports to the Director – Planning & Retail.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of merchandise planning experience.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional team management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing multi-location teams.
• Ability to drive product assortments and profitability.
• Retail math and margins knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Forecast demand and manage inventory and pricing to maximize sales.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Ecommerce, Retail, Wholesale, Finance.
• Develop SKU plans and guide product launches.
• Monitor inventory levels, sell-through, and markdowns.
• Coordinate store allocations and replenishment.
• Provide hind sighting and seasonal analysis for leadership.
