Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a Capital Planning & Service Contract Management professional to support medical equipment capital planning and contract management. The role gathers benchmarking data on equipment life, life cycle costs, and failure rates, delivering insights for a 5-year replacement plan with projected costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical or clinical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Three years of engineering experience including at least one year in clinical engineering.
• Experience with Lawson Procurement Suite and MS Office tools.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to work with Tableau, Wolfram Alpha, and advanced Excel.
• Experience with CMMS and other databases.

Responsibilities

• Forecast, program, and plan major and minor capital requirements for UMMS.
• Engage with executive and clinical leaders to gather data for technology needs and asset utilization.
• Develop multi-year technology plans based on utilization, costs, staffing, and volumes.
• Collaborate on conceptual/feasibility studies for technology initiatives; provide project management support.
• Coordinate with clinical leadership and planning functions across departments.
