Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Medical Science Liaison in a field-based, scientific role in Birmingham, AL. You will engage with healthcare professionals to translate data into clinical insights and support medical objectives.

The ideal candidate has MD/PhD/PharmD/PA/NP or equivalent and 2+ years as MSL or 5+ years clinical experience in GI/Liver, with strong scientific acumen and travel willingness.

Qualifications

• MD/PhD/PharmD/PA/NP or equivalent degree preferred.
• 2+ years of industry experience as a Medical Science Liaison or 5+ years of clinical or related practical experience in GI/Liver.
• Strong scientific & clinical acumen.
• Ability to translate complex data to clinicians and researchers.
• Travel up to 60%, valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Engage in peer-to-peer scientific dialogue with healthcare professionals.
• Plan and execute medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers.
• Communicate clinical and scientific data through presentations and educational programs.
• Serve as primary resource for unsolicited medical questions and scientific exchanges.
• Document field-generated insights to support Medical Affairs strategies.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant literature to enable scientific exchange.
• Collaborate with Medical, Commercial, and other teams to share insights.
• Leverage standards of care and clinical trial knowledge to support communications.
