Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a Manager of Materials Planning to oversee and optimize materials planning for multiple project sites. You will lead a team, develop sourcing plans, manage inventories, and collaborate with procurement and operations to ensure timely material availability and cost efficiency.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with 7+ years in materials planning or related fields, including 3+ years in leadership, and strong SAP/Oracle/ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's preferred.
• 7+ years in materials planning, inventory or supply chain; leadership experience.
• Project-based industry experience (construction/infrastructure/heavy industrial).
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced planning software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation abilities.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of materials planners.
• Develop and maintain materials planning strategies and procedures.
• Forecast material requirements based on project schedules and data.
• Manage inventory levels across multiple projects and warehouses.
• Collaborate with procurement, project management and operations teams.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers; negotiate contracts and terms.
• Monitor supplier performance and mitigate risks.
• Utilize advanced planning systems to improve forecasting and reporting.
• Prepare reports on materials planning performance for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
