Job summary

G&L Tube LLC, a division of AeroFlow Technologies, is seeking a Buyer in Flagstaff, AZ to coordinate material flow and sourcing of primary raw materials. You’ll quote materials, negotiate prices and lead times, and collaborate with Sales, Quality, and Production to keep materials moving.

The role involves managing spot buys, monitoring supplier performance, maintaining inventories, and safeguarding assets. A hands-on position within a team that values quality, accountability, and cost

Qualifications

• High quality materials from approved suppliers.
• On-time delivery by supplier.
• Meet inventory turns goal.
• Price per pound for spot buy purchases.
• Inventory accuracy.
• Material / Operations Planning knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Interface with suppliers to ensure efficient primary material flow.
• Work closely with Sales on forecasted customer needs.
• Manage the purchase process for spot buy materials (non-contract).
• Coordinate strip releases to Primary Suppliers (contracted).
• Follow-up and track status of scheduled material deliveries and expedite with vendor as required.
• Prepare reports related to materials and ensure availability to relevant personnel.
• Safeguard inventory assets in conjunction with peers in other departments.
