Job summary

HBK Hottinger Brüel & Kjaer (HBK) is seeking a Buyer in Massachusetts to plan, procure and manage raw material parts for our products. You will negotiate best pricing while ensuring quality and On-Time-Delivery to support production teams.

The role requires collaboration with suppliers, maintenance of POs, and proactive problem solving across accounting, receiving and quality to maintain supply continuity. Local candidates with 0–2 years in manufacturing preferred, knowledge of MRP/MPS systems,

Qualifications

• Associates degree in supply chain or related field; 0–2 years manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new low-cost suppliers for quality raw materials.
• Review MRP and take action as required.
• Maintain purchase orders and documents for compliance.
• Resolve issues for accounting, receiving and quality.
• Manage supplier activity to ensure timely purchase orders and material arrival.
• Ensure competitive pricing from supplier base.
• Analyze and adjust purchasing activities with changes in raw material/equipment.
• Manage supplier relationships to achieve performance targets.
• Participate in Continual Improvement initiatives.
• Purchase MRO materials.
• Assist with Engineering Change Requests for assigned commodities.
