Job summary

Insight Global, on behalf of a major aircraft manufacturing supplier in New Jersey, is seeking a Material Planner for a permanent, direct-hire role. You will lead the S&OP process, develop monthly Production Plans, and maintain a weekly master production schedule to support the plan.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of manufacturing planning experience, strong ERP and Excel skills, and a Bachelor’s degree. The position requires on-site work in Whippany, NJ with opportunities to drive continuous

Qualifications

3–5 years experience as material or production planner in manufacturing.
Experience maintaining production plans, material availability, and capacity alignment.
Experience running shortage reports and managing master planning schedule.
Familiar with ERP systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and drive the improvement agenda.
Develop monthly Production Plan based on Demand and Capacity.
Establish and maintain a weekly master production schedule to support Production Plan.
Define and maintain S&OP KPIs and metrics for continuous improvement.
Distribute work orders and assist departments in obtaining items to complete operations.
Participate in cross-functional team meetings and communicate supply chain issues and resolutions.
Review and maintain master data for legacy and new products for proper planning.
Communicate shortages and make recommendations; manage action items to closure.
